As part of senior management, I worked in large corporates. My behavior was like that of an entrepreneur, taking complete ownership of the company’s business objectives. However, corporate bureaucracy would have none of that and I broke every rule in the book, to do what was honest for the company!
I always built great teams, trusted the right people and backed them unconditionally. The result was always the same – magic! I look for mavericks who come with great energy, think differently and are willing to get out of their comfort zone. Our team is our biggest strength; we have a team of people who are deeply passionate about our business and driven by the desire to create an institution that lasts.
I don't try to do everything (I’m just not that talented!). My focus areas are just a few: Building a great team, creating a work environment where every member of the team is empowered to behave like an entrepreneur, Business Strategy and Fund Raise. I was sure that one day I will be part of a startup where I would invest a part of my soul and my values. Boonbox is one of the great adventures of my life.

To me entrepreneurship is the pursuit of freedom. The chance to dare, dream and be whatever one wishes to be. That pursuit defines me as a person too and my philosophy to life. To me entrepreneurship is a spiritual journey – living in the moment, enjoying the journey rather than focus on the destination, surrounding myself with people who are positive and energize me.

The person: Karthik likes to meet up with people and his interest in biking makes him yearn for long lonely rides. He plays cricket, badminton, and loves to watch tennis. He loves South Indian food – no Pizzas please! - with special interest in authentic homemade stuff.
The professional: With a Master’s in Financial Management from Pondicherry University, Karthik has over 16 years of experience that includes marketing of financial services with Citigroup, TVS Group and Fullerton India Credit Company. He possesses the ability to smell business opportunities and work channels, keeps his cool under the most difficult circumstances; no problem is too difficult for him to solve

The person: Narayanan loves reading, reads lot of Philosophy and a strong believer of the concept "What you think, you will become". He practices Yoga, plays Cricket and Badminton for fitness. Loves travelling across deep rural villages, as he enjoys meeting people and help improving their livelihood.
The professional: With a Master’s in Business Administration from TSM, one of premier B-Schools in South India. Narayanan has 17 years of professional experience with leading brands like, Vodafone, Airtel, Tata Docomo having handled Sales & Distribution portfolio for TN & KL regions. Narayanan complements the team with rigor in business planning and execution and his versatility that helps him straddle Sales and Operations and occasionally finance.
Advisor - Business Strategy
The person: Rajiv is a science fiction buff and can discover philosophy in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. He loves studying and meeting entrepreneurs and draws his energy from their passion. Tennis, travel and Tamil food keep him going.
The professional: Rajiv is an experienced business leader with a 25 year track record in building and scaling successful businesses in eCommerce, retail technology , outsourcing and consulting at Cisco, Arthur Andersen, KPMG and Future Group - India's largest retailer. He works with some of India's most interesting start-up entrepreneurs, in technology and consumer sectors. He helps them scale and realise the growth potential of their ventures. He is the founder of Next In Advisory Partners, a growth platform for such ventures and entrepreneurs. He is a MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
